Primary School netballers from all over Queensland endured windy weather conditions to compete in the Firebirds Primary Schools Cup over the weekend.
51 teams travelled from all over the state to compete in the competition held at the Sunshine Coast Netball Association on Saturday and Sunday.
All Saints Anglican School were crowned champions of the event, defeating Emmanuel College Carrara in the grand final, 18-10.
Queensland Firebird and Sunshine Coast local Keirra Trompf watched the finals rounds on Sunday before presenting the winners with their trophies.
The four division’s of the tournament at Sunshine Coast Netball Association were named after some star Firebirds players including Keirra Trompf, Romelda Aiken, Lauren Nourse and Laura Geitz.
The school teams came from both regional and metropolitan areas of Queensland.
